January 5, 2024Can I direct my search ads to my own Shopify App Store directly instead of my website?
Yes you can. Lots of Shopify stores use Google Ads.
I suggest however to use your own website. This way, you can brand yourself instead of Shopify. Remember that the URL will show Shopify and should they click your ad, they'll see it's a Shopify store. Not that there's anything wrong with that but you may want to build your own brand over the long term.

So i built a Shopify app that‘s lost in nirvana right now. Anybody has experience with „shopify app store ads“ for Shopify apps. I mean those from the partner program. Does it perform? Suggested cpc budget by shopify seems to be quite high.

It probably won't work for you if you have CPC + low LTV per merchant. You'll also need 60+ days to start to see ROAS. I would start conservatively, with low bids, let the bigger players exhaust their daily budget and then hopefully you can pick up a few leftover installs after. Then evaluate in 60 days, then 90 days before killing ads.
