Shopify vs Advanced vs Plus Plans
Shopify to Shopify Plus experience - how was it?
Congrats on reaching this level, it is a great accomplishment!
I have worked with about 15 brands that have done the transition to Shopify Plus. There is 0 downtime and it just turns on. Now, just so you know, nothing changes initially. Just changed the admin to a black bar on top.
Next up, ask your rep to add checkout.liquid to your theme. This will allow for checkout customization, just do it in a non published theme. I do development on shopify and our mantra is, anytime you change the checkout-test for a min of a week. That way QA is thorough and never rushed.
After that, take a look at shopify flow, it is free for plus and really simple to use. Launchpad is great for sales and also theme swaps.
If you have a CRM or inventory sync setup, look into asking for an increase in your API rate limits, allowing you to do inventory syncs faster.
Finally look at shopify scripts. These are the prize to shopify plus in my mind. You can do all kinds of different things for discounts and such. I would suggest you work with your developer on scripts. A bad script can stop all checkouts
Hope that was helpful, let me know if you have any other questions. Again, congrats!

I worked for a digital agency where this is the bulk of what we did - migrate large brands off of Magento, WooCommerce, bespoke systems etc to Shopify Plus. Most of the clients were extremely happy with the results, they saved a ton of money on hosting & maintenance cost. Some really big marquee companies have moved to Shopify, so it's a fairly safe bet these days.

Has anyone done the math to figure out at what point it makes sense to upgrade plans? I will do ~$750k revenue through my store this year. Next year projecting around $1.25M. I am currently on the “Shopify” plan. Wondering if I should upgrade plans to save on card rates?
Any insight would be great!
