I need to change Chrome's output device, the net says go to settings then advanced settings.
When I go to settings, there are no advanced settings buttons, not on the bar, not at the bottom of the page.
When I google how to get to it, I can't find anything that has remotely the same UI as my Chrome here in 2022.

I downloaded Adobe and now when I download a PDF in Chrome, it automatically opens it in Adobe. I don't want that. Every help article I'm finding is saying to go to the settings menu, then advanced settings. However, I'm also seeing, for several years, people not able to find the advanced settings menu. I'm in the same boat. There is no advanced settings on the left side of chrome. How can I access this or turn off the fact that chrome auto opens every PDF in adobe? I hate it.

Thanks to another user CornelG7 that I found on another thread from a while back, the way to fix this from happening is:
To fix go to Adobe -> Preferences -> General -> Uncheck "Open PDFs automatically in Reader when they are downloaded in Chrome browser"
That has solved my problem, still doesn't answer why Advanced Settings isn't there in Chrome anymore. Did they do away with it?

You could at first make screenshots of the few "normal" user setting, then you could use "chrome://flags" to open the advanced settings , now all modified variables will appear brighter and not so gray.That should include all chrome settings except extension specific ones but I can't say for sure.
