I can't imagine a single adjustable base for 2 sleepers would be an ideal situation. The only time I think it would work is if you use it to watch tv in bed together but then both sleep flat. For it to work for sleeping, you would both have the same sleeping position throughout the night (back sleeping) and prefer the same settings. Your wife sleeping 'on anything, anywhere, anytime' is likely a result of the apnea not necessarily preference. I have a split king and the seam in the middle is not an issue. I wanted an adjustable base also.. finally Got one with a mattress deal and honestly we never use It- plus the frame wobbles!!. But I do try to make a point to use it- but hardly do. Now maybe you really will - the biggest issue I see with them is that while mattresses come with trial and return policies …the foundations do not! It’s a big investment and maybe it works for your situation- but maybe it’s not worth the extra cash. Remember if you change sleep positions it won’t change with you unless you have the sleep number type automatic adjustment. More on reddit.com

Just bought a mattress from sleep country and was pretty pleased. They have a policy where if you don't like your new mattress within 100 days you can pay 68 bucks to swap it out once. Leon's does this too but for free. I got a better deal at sleep country though. Felt a lot more comfortable trying out a foam mattress and I think I'm gonna keep it. You won’t be able to sleep in the adjusted position, other than the slightly elevated anti-snore, since you’re a side sleeper. Since you enjoy reading in bed too though, I’d say you’d definitely get use out of it. If you have a Sam’s Club membership or Costco, you could try their adjustable bases since you can return them there. 99% of mattress retailers do not allow returns on their adjustable foundations. I recently gave mine (2 weeks old) to my parents because I felt they’d get more use out of it, plus I was frustrated trying to look for a solid bed for them lol. Make sure you check the weight capacity, some cheap ones only lift 600 lbs total (including mattress). EDIT for anyone with a pacemaker, please read the manufacturer’s owners manual before you purchase. More on reddit.com

My wife (30, 120lbs) and I (30, 170lbs) are thinking about upgrading to a nice mattress and adjustable base from our current $400 piece of garbage from wayfare on wooden slats.
Wife has obstructive sleep apnea and we want to see if the "zero gravity" position will help with that.
We don't really want to do a split base because the crack down the middle is just an absolute hard no.
I'm usually a "worst case scenario" person and it seems the worst case scenario for this upgrade would be that my "zero gravity" zone is different enough to my wife's that we can't find a happy medium. I feel like that's a pretty small risk as we've tried out a few adjustable bases on various mattresses and we're usually pretty close. Plus she can sleep on anything, anywhere, at any time.
But does anyone out there regret getting an adjustable base and find it hard to sleep with your partner on it?

We had a split king and hated it and returned it. We actually used the split base synced up as one unit the whole time anyways. It just depends on your sleeping preferences & if you think you’ll want to sleep in the zero gravity position every night. I think if you do a split king definitely get one of those bed bridge foam pieces to fill the gap. It makes it tolerable. I sleep with a special needs child and often ended up on top of the crack & it screwed up my back but if that’s not something that will happen to you I think you could make it work once you got used to it.
