There are some pros here who can probably tell you exactly what printer Staples, Office Depot, etc. use. But you probably can't afford it nor have room for it. Go 4X what you paid for that printer. You can get color laser quality good enough for e.g. professional presentations, real-estate flyers, etc. etc. general business use with a clean look. What is your use case? The new “great” HP printers
HP is horrible and i don’t have what my hp vendor has to say. i actually think my HP vendor is getting sick of HP too. that hp wide format printer in copy center is an abomination and so is every other hp product i’ve ever used. if hp was the last company to buy something from i still would not buy it i tried to connect my macbook for network scanning to the one i have at home and it either told me my credentials were wrong (they werent) or the printers connection was bad (said excellent on the screen) i cannot stand hp and i will never be a customer of my own. i got the printer for my parents and they like hp although not a surprise from hp that something didn’t work More on reddit.com

I own a Brother HL-L3210CW color laser printer. The prints it produces are just ok.
Recently, I sent documents to my local Staples which I also printed on the Brother and the difference is night and day. The Staples prints are literally 10X better than what my color laser printer produces.
The issue is, I need to print documents for customers and mail them out on a regular basis and driving to my local Staples is getting old...
Does anyone know what kind of printer Staples uses?
I was hoping maybe Inkjet would win out and bought a HP ENVY Inspire 7255e, but I tested it just now and it's actually like 10-20% worse than the Brother Color Laser.
The other thing of note: I am using non-OEM cartridges in the Brother printer, so maybe if I sprung for the $260 OEM cartridges I'd get a better print quality but I really don't know.
One other thing I could try is maybe the paper but I doubt that is really the issue here.

>"What type of printer does Staples use for color prints?" Depends on the store I believe, and the type of job. Their equipment selection varies. But a ton of them use Xerox Digital Press machines, often the system itself costing well into 5 digits. And they may or may not be using print management systems such as Fiery that can interact directly with the color engine of the digital press to ensure it's doing a better job than adequate, but these systems often have licensing fees, hardware costs, and setup+install costs, not to mention the time time of techs to set up all this stuff and calibrate it, and etc. Unless you're going to get a dedicated high-accuracy color printer, get into digital color theory, and managing your own color profiles per type of paper used and more, you're best off letting the big groups with the staff and knowledge already to do this, do it for you. Otherwise, ya just gotta accept "well enough"
