This is a weird bug that's been around forever. One workaround I've found that works sometimes is go to to the sharing option of the pass then send it to yourself via Messages. Open the message on your watch and then tap on the pass in the message. This should add it to your watch wallet. Answer from Deleted User on reddit.com

I never see passes in the wallet on my watch although they work fine on my phone. Apple Pay and credit cards show up on my watch wallet and that is all I am able to access. I have checked the settings on the Watch app on my phone and the settings on the watch. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Have you gone into the watch app and then down to wallet and Apple Pay and then added the cards to the watch? They don’t just sync. You have to choose which you want and add them thru the watch app.

If you look on watch app wallet, you may see the cards there under past cards or some such heading. You have to re-verify them for them to go into your Apple Watch wallet.

The Apple Watch user manual says "Passes in Wallet on your iPhone automatically sync to your Apple Watch." However, I have upcoming flight boarding passes, gym IDs, and work IDs all on my iPhone wallet and precisely zero of them have synched to my watch. The only cards on my apple watch are the Apple Cash card (that I don't use / have?) and the credit card I added manually.

I've tried everything I can think of to transfer the passes over. Searched all settings on watch and phone in wallet. Tapped on ever little "info," "about," or "share" option on the relevant IDs and passes on my phone's wallet app. Gone back to the pass issuer (e.g. the airline app on my iPhone) to see if there's any option when adding the pass to my wallet to add it to the watch. Nothing.

What am I missing?

What is really annoying is that Apple knows about this bug. Just Google it and you'll see that loads of people are ticked off by this. This is not a $5 a piece gadget. People who buy it often want to make use of many if not all of its features. Yet they don't seem to give a damn. And their customer support is good only if there's an opportunity for them to charge you extra.

They are separate devices, when adding it to your phone it also ask if you want to add it to the watch. You can also add them directly to your watch using the watch app.

hello it's been a couple of days since you can no longer add any type of wallet from the iPhone to the Apple Watch, it could by chance be the iCloud disservice that exists these days

Same here, updated this morning, iPhone 13 on 15.3, watch series 6 on 8.4, passes on phone not syncing to watch, but deleting pass on watch wipes it from both

Me too. In my country, Chile, we have no official vaccination app to show our COVID-19 QR in Wallet, so I was updating this using a third party app. This pass is showing normally in the iPhone but not in the Apple Watch‘s Wallet. None of my Wallet Passes (expired or not) are showing up on my Apple Watch, the only thing I see on the Apple Watch Wallet app are the credit cards I added and the option at the very bottom to add more.

Any ideas why this is happening or how it could be fixed? I am running WatchOS 9 and iOS 16.

Check if Wallet is enabled under "Apps Using iCloud" in the iPhone iCloud settings. Re-enabling it fixed the issue for me.

Same here. Must be a bug. I reset my Watch last night (for other reasons) and now I can only get credit/debit cards to appear, no other passes are syncing.

Whenever I add a new pass to my wallet on my iPhone, it doesn't sync to my wallet on my watch. I've tried multiple resets on both devices - still can't get it to work. Passes I've tried include 2 spirit airlines boarding passes and my cedar point platinum pass.
