I bought a subscription on sale for 6 months to realize I don’t like video format learning. Apart from that, their content is good (not exceptional), they have labs you can setup from localhost. There is a lot of free learning material out there. Start with Portswigger academy and save yourself some money. Check the free courses on bug bounty portals, check infosec writeups. At this point, start some programs and if you still feel the need for info, you’ll be in deep enough to know where to find them ;) GL&HF Edit: Considering you mentioned Practical Ethical Hacking. A portion of their course can be viewed on youtube. Also, the fundamental courses are available for free on their site. This should give you a good feeling for their style of teaching. Wanted to share this so others in the cybersecurity community don’t get stuck like I did.
I had an active TCM Security All-Access Pass. When I tried to cancel, their system simply did not work, for months.
They migrated platforms and left older subscribers stuck in the old system. My account showed no active subscription, yet they kept charging me. Support repeatedly gave me the same instructions, even after I sent multiple screenshots proving nothing worked. They also refused to cancel it manually on their end.
Today a cancellation link finally appeared, but only after months of emails and frustration. Now I’m still trying to get a refund for the months where I was paying for something I could not cancel or access properly.
Key Points • Broken subscription system in the legacy platform • No visible cancellation option despite following all instructions • Continued billing while claiming there was no active subscription • Support unwilling to cancel from backend • Still fighting for a fair refund
I’m all for supporting cybersecurity education providers, but this was one of the most stressful and unfair subscription experiences I’ve encountered in this field.
Sharing so others are aware before signing up for any recurring billing with TCM Security.

Not long ago, I found out about TCM-Security through a friend. So, I would like to know from you guys in the cybersecurity field (both students and workers) if their certs are industry recognized in terms of job acquisition or for leveling up for better job positions?

I'm one of the tech leads on a large pentest team. When the TL's got together last time to discuss which certs we recommended for the team, it was unanimous that we all favored HackTheBox CPTS as a first cert, and OSCP for those with at least two to three years of pentesting experience (as a consultant) behind them. I would go so far as to say that in my opinion, CPTS is better than OSCP but OSCP has more industry recognition and our customers are looking for it when they shop around for a new pentest provider. The following is how I rank the offensive security certs: In order of job acquisition: OSCP -> CPTS -> PNPT In order of quality: CPTS -> OSCP -> PNPT Those are all certs for pentesters. If you're interested in blue team role certs and training, HackTheBox Academy is really good. These are just my opinions and I do not endorse any of them.
