Reviews on Sleep Number and Tempur-pedic mattresses? In the market for a new mattress. Tried both in store. Currently leaning towards Sleep Number. Any pre-purchase considerations you can offer? Or helpful buying tips? Thank you!

We currently have a 2019 model Tempur-Pedic LuxeBreeze Soft Queen. My wife and I both love this bed, however we are ready to move to a King and evaluating two options we have narrowed down to:
New mid-2023 model Tempur-Pedic LuxeBreeze Soft King w/TEMPUR-Ergo Smart Base
- Now has Sleep Tracking technology in the Smart Base that seems similar to Sleep Number
- We know we both like the feel of the mattress. We laid on one in the showroom to make sure the latest model feels like our older model.
- Lumbar support seems interesting, but my wife doesn't seem convinced
- Cooling with our current mattress for memory foam seems good, and it seems they have made further improvements
Sleep Number i10 FlexTop King w/FlexFit 1 Smart Base
- Adjustable head positions is the main selling feature here - I like to be flat while my wife prefers to be slightly elevated to help with reflux (we are also expecting a baby and she will fully be upright throughout the night many times)
- Doesn't have foot raising, but we don't ever use this with our current bed
- Sleep Tracking seems similar to what Tempur-Pedic has
- Ability to adjust firmness over time based on how we are feeling seems helpful
- I tend to change positions many times during the night, and in trying out the bed in store, my wife felt these movements much more
- Didn't feel as comfortable in store, but this may just due to us getting use to it.
The fact that the adjustable bases are final sale seems to be the way they get you to lose money if you end up doing a return - if it weren't for this, we'd probably just go for the Sleep Number to try it out for a couple months. We may also look at the Sleep Number m7 - though they didn't have this on the floor at our local store.
If the Tempur-Pedic had a flex top (and not full split), we'd definitely go in that direction. But, given that isn't an option, it feels like a toss up.
I'd appreciate any thoughts folks here have. Thanks!
