tiptoes around conspicuously like a creepy ghost, and proceeds to start a conversation Diana: "Sorry, I'm not here. I was given strict instructions to remain out of sight." Diana: "Please don't tell her you saw me. I'll get into terrible trouble." [...] Charles: "Yes. I just met your younger sister." Nobody does as they're told! More on reddit.com
The Crown Discussion Thread: Overall Season 5
I realised exactly what was wrong with this season. It isn’t being treated like an era in itself. It’s just a set up for the grand finale ie, Diana’s death and aftermath, Charles’ vision of the monarchy and him marrying Camilla, and the Queen’s post jubilee popularity. They’ve only focused on stories that would work as a background information for what’s going to be told next season. That’s why all the Charles stories are focused on his fixation on modernising. That’s why Dodi Fayed has more screen time than her 2 year long relationship with Hasnat Khan. And that’s why Diana’s work has taken a backseat to her personal instability. This season is a 10 episode “previously on” More on reddit.com

The Crown (TV Series 2016–2023) - IMDb
November 4, 2016 - The first four seasons were simply superb with some genius casting - and accents to boot. The likes of Claire Foy and Matt Smith gave the show its charisma, along with incredible actors such as Pip Torrens and Alex Jennings, etc.. All fears of Matt Smith departing were allayed when Tobias Menzies stepped into the Prince Philip role.

How The Crown Season 4 Cast Compares To The Real People
November 15, 2020 - What is clear in season 4, is that the monarch is embarking on a new era that will be rife with dogged tabloid coverage. The Queen didn't refer to 1992 as her "annus horribilis" or "horrible year," for nothing, which means next season is going to be a doozy. The Crown might not always stick to the facts — just this season, the series' creators took artistic license with this season's famous Buckingham break-in. But The Crown's casting director certainly does a good job of finding doppelgängers for those who exist in the royal orbit.
