Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 3 laptop review: Intel Core-P at under 1 kg
The ThinkPad X1 Nano is back for a third year in a row with the exact same chassis design as its first generation launch. It remains one of the lightest and most portable subnotebooks in the market, but the compromises to performance are still alive and well.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 2
If only it had HDMI and USB-A ports, Lenovo's second-generation ThinkPad X1 Nano would get a rave review. Even without them, it's a tempting travel companion. One of the nicest, and very lightest, ultraportables

r/thinkpad on Reddit: Thoughts on x1 nano gen 1?
May 16, 2024 -
I recently bought and almost fully upgraded a t480.
And now I think I would like a second laptop and was considering the x1 carbon gen 6.
But I just found the x1 nano, and i really like it. While I was tearing apart my t480, it was at one point extremely light. I enjoyed that a lot, and It was kinda sad when I had put the batteries, heatsink, and screen back in.
The t480 is already plenty powerfull enough for my needs, and the nano would be slightly better in some cases.
What do you guys think of the nano gen 1? What would be a good price to spend on it

I've been daily driving it for 3 years and it's ok for light use (microsoft apps, light PS, browsing etc.). As many others have noted it tends to overheat and the battery is pretty bad (and it degrades very quickly due to heat). I have mine plugged into a TB dock with 2 monitors 50% of the time and it will overheat to the point of shutting down if I run more CPU-intensive tasks (lot of chrome tabs, 4k youtube etc.). I also had my battery replaced after a year and now it's down to 82% so I get ~2.5hr of light use on battery saver setting, so you can expect 5hr max with a new battery. I had my keyboard deck replaced under warranty because it randomly stopped working but think that was an isolated issue, haven't heard of others reporting the same thing. That said, I did get mine when it came out, components are now ~4 years old and a few generations behind, so not sure how it will hold up with the new generation of windows and things like that in the medium term. When you get used to a 2lb laptop though it's hard to go back to something heavier, even my MacBook air weighs a ton compared to this thing. Lack of ports has never bothered me, as a Mac user I've been USB-C only for half a decade now so no issue there. I do carry a small Anker USB-C Hub that has HDMI, LAN, etc. in case I need those on the road, but otherwise most of my accessories are USB-C. For people saying they can't use flash drives (who even uses those anymore?) you can get one with dual USB-C and USB-A ports on Amazon for like $10. Logitech mouse dongle is a pain because they refuse to make a USB-C one for some reason so I have mine plugged into the dock when I'm at home and use bluetooth connection on my Mx Master when I'm on the road - but the trackpad is pretty usable so I rarely use a mouse when not working at my desk.

It’s a netbook with enough oomph to do any light tasks you put it to, I’ll use some Adobe products on it in a pinch. Mine is my daily laptop and i love how light it is while still having good screen real estate and resolution. Smaller footprint than my x280

That said, the Nano’s weight is astounding. I feel like I’m carrying nothing while I’m holding it, even one-handed. I’d easily haul it in my purse or throw it into my backpack and forget that it’s there. For a few comparisons: it’s half a pound lighter than the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano review: Slim and fast, but short on battery life
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano is small and lightweight, making it the perfect travel companion. That said, the battery life leaves little to be desired. Lenovo’s X1 Nano, now in its third generation, aims to cram an enjoyable and performant laptop into the smallest footprint possible. That means it can’t be too small (that would ruin the keyboard), but it still needs to look and feel smaller than its mainstream rivals. The X1 Nano meets this goal, though it requires a few compromises.Looking for more options? Check out PCWorld's roundup of the best ultraportable laptops available today.Lenovo Th
