June 29, 2023How would you rank the most recent 10 Walt Disney Animation Studio movies? What direction is Disney trending toward?
Wreck It Ralph- 10/10 one of Disney’s absolute best it built an interesting world with believable and interesting characters with a great twist villain. Frozen- Another 10/10 instant classic great animation some of Disney’s best music with fun characters and an amazing setting. Big Hero 6- Another 10/10 one of Disney’s best it’s an emotional journey while have great action and great characters. Zootopia- 9/10 Another great one but some moments feel a bit dragged out and the ‘twist’ villain was too predictable. Moana- Another 10/10 one of Disney’s best will definitely go down as one of Disney’s best. Ralph Breaks the internet- 5/10 lots of great moments but the story was meh, characters felt flat with forced motivations and did not match the quality of the first. Frozen 2- 8/10 Not as good as the original but still great and the animation especially at the ocean is incredible. Raya- 7/10 Very overhated it definitely has some issues with the way it presents it’s message but overall it’s an interesting setting with fun characters and beautiful animation. Encanto- 10/10 Absolute masterpiece one of the best movies of all time. I have yet to watch strange world but it looks interesting. Overall I’m very happy with Disney’s recent releases. June 29, 2023 - At least half of their catalog is at 7/10 or above. Their first 5 films pre-WWII, basically the entire Renaissance besides Pocahontas, everything from 2009 to 2016, and quite a few others. It's only recently that they've had a string of misses, but even then they still occasionally put out something great like Encanto. What are the best animated films that you have seen that are not made by any of the major animation studios?

Encanto- 10/10 Absolute masterpiece one of the best movies of all time. I have yet to watch strange world but it looks interesting. Overall I’m very happy with Disney’s recent releases.
