How do I choose the right size fireplace TV stand for my room?
Choosing the right size fireplace TV stand involves considering both your TV size and the room space. Here are some tips:
- Measure your TV: Ensure the stand supports your TV's width and weight. Many stands accommodate TVs up to 65-80 inches.
- Room space: Check the available wall or floor space to avoid overcrowding. The stand should fit comfortably without blocking walkways.
- Fireplace size: Consider the fireplace insert size to ensure it fits well within the stand.
- Storage needs: Look for stands with shelves or cabinets if you want extra storage for media devices.
Balancing these factors helps you pick a stand that fits your TV and complements your living space.
How much heat does an electric fireplace TV stand produce?
Electric fireplace TV stands typically produce enough heat to warm a small to medium-sized room, often around 400 square feet. The heat output varies by model but usually ranges between 1,000 to 1,500 watts. This makes them suitable for supplemental heating rather than replacing a central heating system.
Many models come with adjustable heat settings and built-in thermostats, allowing you to control the temperature comfortably. Since the heat is generated electrically, it's generally safe for use around electronics like your TV, provided you follow the manufacturer's guidelines.
Can I use a fireplace TV stand to add style and storage to my living room?
Absolutely! Fireplace TV stands are designed to combine functionality with style. They serve as a focal point in your living room by blending the warmth of a fireplace with the practicality of a TV stand.
- Style options: Available in various finishes and designs like farmhouse, rustic, or modern to match your decor.
- Storage: Many stands include shelves, cabinets, or drawers to organize media players, DVDs, books, and other items.
- Lighting features: Some models have LED lights that add ambiance and highlight the fireplace.
Choosing a fireplace TV stand can enhance your room's look while keeping your space organized.

Or they are using cheap/basic electric fireplaces.

Anyone have one of these?

We have this fireplace with a large cavity-like space behind the front-surface of the fireplace (best visualized in the picture). I want to set up a 75" TV (90 lbs, 40kgs) for this fireplace. Since I don't have access to the wall behind directly, I cannot attach the mount directly to the vertical studs. Looking for suggestions on how to proceed here.
The primary option I am considering is to attach a metal / wood horizontal bar to the side studs. Then, attach the MantelMount (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06VS8DC8Q) to this piece. Then, the TV would go in the front of the whole cavity covering most of it.
Would this work if we don't have a support in the middle of the horizontal bar? I'm not sure I can put that considering it's on the top of the fireplace.
Any other suggestions? Thank you!
