March 7, 2024 - problem solved. Using the AI Suite Installer I uninstalled Fan Xpert 2 and now I can again normally control the rad fans using automatic CPU PWM output (dependent on BIOS settings for CPU temp & fan speeds and thresholds).

Then you'll be using fan control though BIOS rather than have AIS3 do it for you. It's junk software IMO and you're better off using your BIOS controls since that will allow you to set a curve tailored exactly to what you want for noise, cooling, etc. More on reddit.com

How do I get rid of this menu/icon/thing? It always stays on my screen and it takes my courser out of whatever game I’m playing if I accidentally click on it. I can close it but it comes back when I reboot. I believe it’s part of armory crate but I can’t find anything that actually says it.

That's Asus Mini Bar, and you can disable it. If you go to the Notifications portion of the windows task bar, you should be able to find AI Suit 3 . The icon should be a black square with a small blue Dimond. If you can't find it, you might need to click on show hidden icons. It's the "^" If you right click on AI Suit 3, you should be able to uncheck Asus Mini Bar.

Hey, i just built a PC, and it came with AI Suite 3 preinstalled, which also comes with Fan Xpert IV.
Fan Xpert IV is a Fan control software, which kinda annoys me because it changes the CPU fan speed like every 2 seconds. Because the CPU temperature fluctuates in the 40s at idle, i always hear when it speeds up the fan for 2 seconds or so when the temp is for example at 47 degrees. And then slows it again when it is at 41.
Thats really annoying, thats why i am wondering, what happens if i just uninstall AI Suite 3 and have no Fan control software?

Your PC will boot faster. Just define fan curves in BIOS and make adjustments through there. AI suite is a bloated mess in my experience. Any curves you've set should be retained after uninstall
