Top Things to Do in San Francisco for First Timers (with hidden gems)
August 8, 2024 - We had a lovely sunny afternoon and enjoyed a flight of beer at San Francisco Brewing Company and of course, had to buy chocolate to bring home! The Ferry Building is a food market paradise – it’s extra fun to visit on Saturday mornings for the Farmer’s Market, especially if the sun is out! I tried the unique Charcoal latte at Red Bay coffee!

Underrated things to do in SF
Non-touristy would be explore neighborhoods that are more locals. That would be Cole valley, Noe valley, inner sunset, inner Richmond, and Valencia street in the mission. For hikes you can hike a few places in the city: twin peaks viewpoint is one of the highest. Touristy things would be going to pier 39 and fisherman’s wharf then over to crissy field and presidio tunnel tops with a stop by the palace of fine arts. More on reddit.com

Whats your favorite unique or secret SF spot/activity?
Free Gold Watch. A pinball arcade in Haight-Ashbury. Corona Heights. This is my favorite hill to climb for views of the city. any of the privately-owned publicly-accessible parks (POPA). These are great hidden rooftop/urban parks in downtown. finding the paving stones made out of grave markers in Buena Vista Park. Clarion Alley in the Mission for street art. looking for the Andy Goldsworthy art in the Presidio taking the F Market trolleys instead of the classic cable cars. eating my way through the Clement Street Farmers Market the Dandelion Chocolate factory tour attending talks by local politicians and public figures at Manny’s seeing a movie at the classic Balboa Theater (or any of the other golden era theaters—Vogue, Roxie, etc) More on reddit.com

January 16, 2020 - Treasure Island Flea Market – one of just a couple things on this list I haven’t done, but supposedly has lots of antiques and a fun vibe · 23. Sausalito Ferry from Pier 41 – a great – and cheap – way to get out on the water. A short 30-minute ride to Sausalito. 24. Wave Organ – makes different sounds based on the waves hitting the pipes built into the jetty. A really fun San Francisco hidden gem for little ones to hear.

We’re also spilling the fair-trade, organic, ethically sourced tea on our lesser-known life of crime. Lia enjoying the regularly scheduled 6pm cold/fog. Consider yourself duly prepared: Karl the Fog is ever present in San Francisco. We exist in a unique micro-climate.
