Anybody else having issues with YouTube after the update? Videos aren't playing, and when they do, it's a different video.

Glad you posted something, I have reset Chrome a dozen times, deleted it and reinstalled, and youtube continues to show wrong video, or when you click one it opens and doesn't start playing. I thought it was something I did. Finally decided to try and see if anyone else is dealing with this.

This is an issue for me too, however began only a week or so ago. The audio comes through, but no video, it shows a greenish color. It's half fixed by disabling hardware acceleration, but then it gets choppy. No such issue on MS Edge, however I don't like that browser because that's just more Telemetry going to Microsoft. Has Google done something to break YouTube videos over the last few updates, or does it affect certain (or random) users only? I have no intention on running Edge forever to view my favorite video channel & can't see myself returning to Firefox. Which was once an outstanding browser, before Chrome became the top choice for many users worldwide. Could it be an extension?

Youtube isn’t working on google chrome after the new update. Every video I open has a black screen that says “an error occurred. Please try again later. (Playback ID: random combo of letters and numbers). Learn more” and when I click on learn more a blank popup comes up. Anyone know what’s going on?

Same issue, only on livestreams though. Issue is present on all browsers. Like pointed out, logging out seems to fix it, so maybe something funny with accounts? I'm from Europe/Finland and have premium.

After the latest chrome update (Version 122.0.6261.69), youtube is somehow manages to show ads even though ublock is active and this breaks the video loading sometimes.
On Firefox videos are loading fast and without ads.

Getting the same. Infinite loading (black background with the buffering circle in the middle), and it works while on incognito and ublock Origin is off. It may play after a long while, but it buffers like crazy. They did something. Let's hope it can be resolved, I cannot stand youtube ads every 2 minutes.

June 28, 2024 - There had been no update to the extension when this issue arose, only to Chrome. More replies ... Me too, WTF. ... This worked for me. If you videos load in an incognito window, that's your sign to start disabling extensions. ... Wow. Just wow. As soon as I turned the emoji extension off, YouTube started working again.

This has been happening for the last 2 days, and I searched everywhere for an answer, but I cannot find anything. YouTube literally becomes unresponsive, lagging, and I cannot click on the search bar because it does not register, and eventually becomes unresponsive. I do have Ublock (otherwise I have to endure Bodywash ads and Scam ads)

Same issue. It started after Chrome did an automatic update yesterday. It's strange, but so far, it mainly happens on Incognito tabs for me.
