Commercial invoice help
Missing Commercial Invoice and how to fill/submit it?
UPS is holding birthday gift at customs and customer support is offering no help
Where should I put the commercial invoice on the package?
I am trying to send a package from the UK to France as a gift for a friend. I purchased shipping and attached the shipping label however the UPS delivery guy apparently rejected it when he came by on the basis that it did not have a commercial label. Do I need to attach one of these for a gift? I am an individual, not a business, and VAT was paid when I first brought the product. All the examples I have found seem to point towards being a business so I am not sure.
Thank you in advance for any help!
Hi all,
I’ve recently tried to send a parcel to Turks & Caicos from the U.K., UPS are asking me for a commercial invoice and include a VAT number.
This is a gift, I’m not a company or anything.
Has anyone got any ideas to help?
Thanks in advance
I have a parcel going from UK to US. I put three of the invoices they give you on the box with the label (secured as well as the parcels I’ve sent over the past few years). Now my parcel has no delivery date (was 26th Dec) and says “Clearance Info Required” and that there’s a “Missing Commercial Invoice” (there wasn’t). I haven’t been able to email or call them, but I see the website has an option to add a file to a tracking number.
I’ve downloaded the template from their site but I’m a little confused as to how to fill it in since the one that came with my label was just “where’s it from, and going, and what’s in it?” basically.
What do I input for Tax ID if my missus and I are just doing it as a gift? What’s the Incoterms terms of sales? And what’s the information regarding the importer section?
Can I not just fill in the Me sending it to Her details, package weird her and cost, and submit that?
I am sending a birthday gift from the US to the UK and I paid quite a lot of money for 4-day shipping (UPS Worldwide Expedited) purchased from Shippo. The package was supposed to arrive on Friday, December 2nd, and it has been delayed twice, and now there is no delivery date. It now says:" UPS initiated contact with receiver or importer for clearance information. Once received, UPS will submit for clearance."
I contacted customer support, and they referred me to the UK UPS customer support. We have called them probably 5 times now, was hung up on twice, and no one has been able to help. One of the people we got through to sent an email asking for a bunch of information that neither of us have. I pasted the email below. I literally don't understand, I sent a package just a few months ago with the exact same information, same shipping service, and purchased from the Shippo as well. I attached all customs forms and invoices properly as usual. It is treating me as if I am a registered business selling goods internationally. It is just a birthday present that is now very late. No matter how many times I explain this to customer service, they don't understand what I am saying.
I could barely afford to send off this package, are they going to start charging me to keep it in the warehouse too?? It has sentimental items in it, I can't just cancel it and get a replacement.
