Hi everyone,
Opening up crates of American Girl Dolls (All Pleasant Company) from the 90's.
Very overwhelmed with all of the outfits, accessories, etc.
Could anyone help me know what I'm looking at? Is there an easy way to distinguish anything?
Most likely wanting to sell it all together.
Also just any info on what this all is would be great!

Agplaythings.com has some nice visuals of the collections. (Just look for Addy, Samantha, molly, kirsten, Felicity and Kit) There's also an American Girl wiki, but each outfit is a page, so there lots of clicking around. If you're looking to get the most money out of the collection, selling items separately would be the way to go. I don't think you'd have a problem selling it all together... Especially if you don't want to deal with IDing each item.

I had a collection of American Girl dolls in the 90's (the OG Kirsten, Samantha, Felicity, etc.) My mom has held on to them for years but is downsizing her home and wants my help to sell them off for the fairest price. I'm well-versed in the resale game - selling clothes on Depop and Poshmark, selling furniture and home goods on FB Marketplace - but I'd love some input from this group on the best place to resell these dolls and what you believe to be their fair market value. My gut says eBay, but I'm new to this! Some of the dolls were very well-loved, but some have been barely touched. Thanks in advance for any and all educated suggestions!

Here are some listings from my local FB Marketplace: $300 I can tell you right now, I would never pay $300 for this doll, even though she's "original 1986" because this doll isn't a white body doll and there are plenty of other Pleasant Company Molly dolls at wayyyy lower prices. see next comment for continuation since reddit has a 1 photo per comment limit-->

You can send me photos via the Chat function and I can search for recent sales on specific items. Often outfits are worth as much or more than dolls. I use Ebay. Take photos in natural light because a good photo can really impact final sales price. You can check the American Girl fandom wiki to get a sense of what outfit goes with what shoes and accessories, etc. Or people on this site will know. I would suggest keeping your favorite doll and her clothes because a lot of people come on this site and bemoan the fact that they got rid of all of their childhood dolls. You may wish to save at least one for your own child some day, if you plan to have one.
