You'll have to look up the install manual for your alarm. It might be slightly different between different alarm modes. For example I have to use the button on the antenna/light by holding it with the ignition on until it chirps three times, then let go and then press it, and then press and hold while using the remote to select either automatic or manual mode. Hey all hopefully someone might know this. I have a viper 2 way alarm and remote start on my civic si. I have been trying to change it from manual mode to automatic mode. I'm aware of the risks but the manual version is borderline unusable. I found a power about switching it but it didn't work and in the process it added garage door functionality to my remote. So now I need to remove that to. Thank you. All comments about how I should do this will be downvoted and ignored

Hey all, I had a viper remote start alarm installed and all works well, however the other day I was messing around in the boot (with the key in my pocket) and must have accidentally hit the remtoe start button and it scared the crap out of me.
I read in the manual that you can configure it to remote start after a double press but to contact the installer to do so. The installer isn't sure how to do it on this module and Viper support line isn't being much help.
Anyone know of how to configure it? I assume it's a series button presses in a specific order?

Ok. I got it to beep after holding vallet button. I got it to beep after holding the single lock unlock on the new fob 4 seconds.... But I get no long beep when I shut it off, and the fob won't work. I'm not finishing this correctly somewhere... Dedicated Electronics 3100? Fobs are both ....474v

Does the togle switch change the LED status? Try flipping it within 5 seconds of turning the key to ON.
