Need Help Picking Seats at Walter Kerr Theater
I agree that Orchestra center is probably the best (regardless of the row). That being said, the Walter Kerr is a small, very intimate theater (one of my favorites) and I have yet to find a bad seat (even all the way on the sides)... Yes, some are better than others but, none are so bad that you should avoid them. As with most things, spend as much as you're comfortable with. Note: if you do pick a side, left is slightly better than right for Hadestown. Enjoy the show... It's literally one of the best currently playing (IMO)! More on reddit.com

It's a small theatre, I sat in the mezzanine last week and had a great view. However the lack of leg room was really uncomfortable and I asked to switch at intermission. I said I would even be fine with standing but they gave me an unoccupied orchestra seat. More on reddit.com

It was leased by the Federal Theatre Project in 1937. It was used as a radio (later, TV) station from 1943 to 1965, with Alexander Woolcott broadcasting his Broadway commentaries from the stage. After being dark from 1965 to 1969, it was bought and renovated in 1971. Ten years later, Jujamcyn bought it, renovating it further in 1989. In 1990, it was renamed for critic-playwright Walter Kerr.
