Honestly, $130 for a charger is wild. It’s nice, yeah, but you’re mostly paying for the Belkin name and aesthetics. I grabbed a 3in1 wireless charger off Amazon for a fraction of that - charges my iPhone, Watch, and AirPods just fine, no issues with speed or heating. My experience has been a little different. The pixel 10 pro XL will charge to its target wirelessly right away, but then it won't do any further charging at that point, nor will it sustain the battery at the current charge, until the next time the charger itself is disconnected from the wall and reconnected. This can be a problem with adaptive charging because it'll hit 80% at some point during the night, and then refuse to re-initiate charging again in time for the alarm. If I disable adaptive charging, it'll hit 100% around 2am, and then it'll slowly discharge. By morning, it'll be at like 94 or 95%. Pretty sure there's a bug that causes the phone to fail to re-initiate wireless charging after reaching a target. Edit: I'm using a qi-2 certified Anker 15w wireless charger with a 20w power supply. Edit 2: spacing Edit 3: Google is aware of the issue and supposedly working on compatibility in some way, but in the meantime, I've switched to a different third party charger that works perfectly with pixel and doesn't have this problem. As nobody so far has provided a "true" ELI5 answer, here's mine: Imagine you have two fans on the ceiling, if you turn one fan on really-really hard, the other fan will slowly start spinning too, becausr of how much air is moving in the room. Electricity works in a similar way - you have two coils of wire, not touching, but close to each other. If you have a lot of electricity moving in one coil, you get the other coil very excited and it starts slowly moving too. It doesnt "spin" as hard as the first one, but it spins a little bit. you have a coil of wire in your phone and a coil of wire in your charger. If you put them close together, your phone will slowly start charging, given you have a lot of excitement in your charger. More on reddit.com
