Hello! I set hardware.wooting.enable to true, but Wootility still won’t detect my keyboard. I also made sure to add my user to the “inputs” group. Is there anything else I need to do? More on discourse.nixos.org

July 25, 2024Question about wootility on start up and closing/minimizing the app.
You can force the app to start up by adding it to startup items in Windows. No reason why you would though, because wootility doesn't need to run at all times, nor does it offer anything. We're not Razer or Corsair - It's all on the keyboard. The keyboard always defaults to the topmost profile on the board (shown in Wootility) on powerup. So if you want a different profile on bootup, drag it down to the inactive side of the UI, then back up to the top spot and save to keyboard. More on reddit.com

if i don't have wootility running it doesn't remember my profiles... I see lots of documentation saying you don't need to have it running but I do need to. Why is this?

I don’t need wootility on. Remember to save to keyboard and able to toggle to the profile you want. The profile that your keyboard loads are the 4 on the upper left… other bellow arnt. You can troubleshoot your profile by changing the color rgb to see if this sticks
