It’s a good entry level piano. I’d say it’s the cheapest of the “real” electronic pianos i.e., has 88 fully weighted keys, reasonable polyphony and sound sampling (and it’s from a highly respected brand). P125 is a also a good option, for a little bit more money. More on reddit.com

No digital piano will be buy it for life, as their parts will wear out. Probably can get 5-10years with moderate use and being careful. That being said, you may find it very lacking once and if you get serious. I started as a hobby learner on a P45 just like you, with no plans for anything more. 6 months later, the built in sounds, and the lack of pedalling started becoming limitations, so I hooked it up to a laptop to use a VST, and bought a $50 yamaha pedal that supports half pedalling. Then I got a pair of monitor speakers to get decent sound since the P45s speakers were sounding weak. This setup was pretty decent, but a year after, the action felt very limiting, so I ended up getting a better digital. That being said, I wouldn't have started with anything fancy even if I could do it all over again. P45 was excellent and served me well. It kept its value so I could sell and upgrade it. When you connect your keyboard via USB, the sound will not be sent to the computer, only the MIDI information will, so it works as a MIDI controller. In order to send the sound of the piano to the computer you'll have to use the headphones output, but I think you'll have to get an audio interface for the pc to actually get the audio, or at least some kind of adaptor. Since your keyboard does work as a MIDI controller, a good alternative would be to use a virtual piano, that you can use with the DAW Cakewalk (I assume by cakewaker you meant Cakewalk) there are some decent ones that you can get for free, just search on google or youtube "free piano vst" and you'll find tones of free virtual pianos, and then I'm pretty sure you can find tutorials on how to send the audio coming from a DAW to Discord. Keep in mind you'll probably find free virtual piano libraries that require Kontakt, which is not free, unless it's its free version Kontakt Player, but most of the stuff you'll find won't work with Kontakt Player. You will have different results with midi and audio. Midi is effectively digital sheet music and what comes out of the headphone jack will be the actual piano sound.

If you record midi via usb, you can play it back with the piano, or use some other software instrument on your computer.
