I am in the market for a beginner piano for my daughter. I was suggested P45. Today I see Yamaha p71 on Amazon prime deals.
Is P71 similar to P45? I read that P45 has better keys ? Can any one confirm. Will I regret if I went with P71!?
Sorry I don't have much idea about pianos, need one for my daughter asap.
Edit: Throwing another piano into the mix:
Amazon: p71 -> $399
Costco FP10 bundle (with furniture stand and bench) -> $550

The Roland is already a better deal - getting a decent stand (not an unstable X-style one) is ~$100. Not to mention costco's return policy. And it's a better action.

Easily the Roland. Although the P71 at $400 is a great prime day deal, the FRP-1 bundle is definitely worth the $150 extra. IMO the FP-10 has: Better key feel (Ivory Feel vs P71 glossy feel), better action (PHA-4 vs GHS), and 3 sensor key detection vs 2 Although the FP-10 is technically better in almost every category, the PHA-4 feels a bit heavier which some may or may not like. I'd recommend going to a guitar center or a local music shop and playing around with both actions.

The Yamaha P45/P71 is still an excellent introductory piano. You can get a whole set with a bench and a stand for ~700. The only competitor at this price range would be the Roland FP-10, but Yamaha is the more popular option. Slightly more expensive is the Yamaha P125 which if you can afford would be a better option. But with the stand and the bench you're looking at spending around +$350 more More on reddit.com

Save up a bit more and try to get the Roland FP-10. It has the best key action in the price range, and a significantly more complex sound engine than the P-45. Much better polyphony too, which helps a lot if you want to do things like using dual tones. More on reddit.com

I tested all 3 and for me personally price wise and feeling was the P71B best, and I got it for $350 (They discounted it because I picked it up instead of them delivering which was very generous.)
