I’ve saved up 2,000 by skipping Starbucks coffe for months and not buying steam Xmas sale games lol
I use to have an old 1998 1,000$ car without air conditioning and steering wheel locking up along with radiator leaks and transmission problems, it was too expensive to fix
Where should I look with 2k?
My credit is 700 but I have no employment proof of funds so a car loan seems hard to get and stressful to pay. Should I look on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace for my price range?

If it were me, I'd be looking for $3,000 cars, that I can negotiate down to $2,000. Something Japanese like a Honda or Toyota or mazda, and something with a manual transmission. High mileage with the manual doesn't scare me. 200,000 miles? No big deal. Manual transmissions also have less resale value, which will help you out. Maybe something that's been in a fender bender, that you can buy some junkyard bumpers for. Don't forget to budget in fuel and insurance. Something like that you can probably get away with just liability, but if it gets wrecked, you don't get anything from the insurance company. If you have two cars that you're looking at, call the insurance company and get a quote on both, because one might be significantly higher. Honda civics for example, have high theft rates in some areas, and will cost twice as much as a Corolla to ensure.

Hey man, don't know where you live in the world, but if you drive stick, get a Japanese car like a Toyota. Unkillable and reliable. I bought a Mitsubishi Colt 2007 1.1 L, not sure if you can get those where you live but they rock. Kind of slow but super cheap on gas and parts and very comfortable with airconditioning etc.
