I’ve tried searching around but I need help picking a die grinder
Suggestions for 1/8" collet die grinders
Got my first air compressor a month or two ago and picked up the cheapest straight and 90 degree die grinders from harbor freight. The 90 degree one still works very well, but the straight shaft almost constantly seizes up, and I've given up trying to use it. I have tried looking on eBay and Amazon for any decent die grinders, but I can't find any that impress me or anything. So if anyone has a recommendation, I'd prefer to keep it close to $50, but if there's one more expensive (definitely under $100) that would be a very good choice, please tell me. Thanks in advance. I realize in this price range it may be impossible to find something worthwhile, but I hope not.
ingersoll rand has always been good for the money I used the one linked professionally, for metal fabrication daily. It hasn’t let me down after a year of heavy use. It’s little on the high side of your budget but there’s a few cheaper options from ingersoll rand out there too if you just browse amazon for a bit. Also make sure you oil your die grinders daily. You’d be surprised at how many people never oil them or only oil them every so often and then get surprised when they quit working. If your going to use it, throw some oil in it. Only takes a few extra seconds and saves your wallet in the future!
I have a Chicago Pneumatic CP860 Heavy Duty Air Die Grinder. It's pretty good if you have a big compressor. It's made in Japan. Note: this would only run 2 min on my 30 gallon 5hp 110v compressor. Would heat the compressor up an get water in the lines. I have a 60 gallon 5hp 220v compressor now and it's much better.
