Simple pipes for 1.20?
Is it possible to do a custom loop with regular 1/2" copper pipe and brass fittings from a plumbing store?
Just a heads up, though, pay attention to the metals contained in your loop. You won't want to mix copper and aluminum, for example, as they will react with each other even if they aren't touching and cause some serious corrosion. I love the steampunk look people are getting with copper tubing, it can be a seriously cool aesthetic.
Edit: for reference, 1" is 25.4mm. So half inch copper is going to be about 13mm OD, but you might find some fittings are tight or loose respectively depending on the type and consistency of the copper you use.

Copper plumbing throughout home. 1" UHMW-PE pipe is coming through the slab from the street/utility.
Currently there is a 1" Copper, Bronze, or Brass fitting inserted into the 1" UHMW-PE 330psi pipe and held on with clamps. I am unable to see what kind of fitting this is as it is inside the UHMW-PE tube.
I assume it is an insert fitting of some sort, but what kind? Is there a standard for the kind of copper/bronze/brass fitting used for insertion into UHMW-PE?
Is it a barbed insert fitting? If so, is there a specific kind that needs to be used?
The pipe is ASTM D 2239 (ID - 1").
Picture added, although I don't see how that would help.
