Got quoted up to $32,000 to replace all my copper pipes and sewer line. Is it that bad?

I had my entire house redone (all new copper) for 6.5k. 2400 sq ft house. Separately, we had our sewer line replaced from the house to the road, and our house is far back. That was 10k. 32 is just about double that—seems really high to me. More on reddit.com

Odd size 1/2" copper. Any advice? Ran into this during my remodel. slightly larger O.D water lines. 1/2" sweat fitting do not fit over it. pipe is not out of round. I believe this is refrigerant tubing? please help!

1/2 copper has a 5/8 OD, which is .625. Is .010 over enough that a coupler won't fit? Maybe thoroughly sanding the tubing would remove enough to make a coupler work More on reddit.com
