I purchased some 1/2 OD pipe from Amazon to install a cooler/radiator into my compressor, and turns out the pipe is a little undersized. Because of that, I cannot install the compression fitting. there are a variety of different kinds of copper pipe. maybe this one is a little larger. maybe it is distorted. maybe you snugged the ring down on the test fit and its smaller now. maybe pulling it off the other pipe rotated the compression ring a little bit. see if you can put it on one piece at a time if its a style where you can. put the collar on, then the ring, then the valve, then see if you can spin the collar on. Hi all!
I'm trying to research the parts necessary to replace my main water supply line with 1" soft copper tubing (1 1/8" OD). I'm trying to figure out how the copper connects to other pipes and I am having 0 luck finding fittings online for 1"+. I read flare fittings are great (to connect the copper to the main at the street) but the largest I can find is 7/8 OD. Can't find the correct size compression fittings either.
Where do y'all buy your parts at for these 1"+ pipes?

Without the nut squeezing the olive, the bushings usually just about fall in, but once the fitting is squeezed, they're as permanent as the olive. Click to expand... Never seen these before but I'll look them up and try them! ... You probably got 12mm tubing from amazon, not true 1/2" - due to the country of origin. I would do the flare (if considered "soft" copper), or look for local supply of true 1/2" tube.
