September 29, 2025 - The sheets in the Lands’ End Luxe Supima Cotton Flannel Bed Sheet Set are well constructed, and like the L.L.Bean Premium Supima sheets, they’re made from Supima cotton milled in Portugal. But they caused severe overheating in our 2016 testing. Parachute’s Brushed Cotton Sheet Set was a disappointment. The sheets were very lightly brushed, and they weren’t warm, cozy, or particularly soft in our 2022 testing. Made from 100% polyester fleece, Shavel Home Product’s Micro Flannel Sheet Sets are widely available at several retailers, but in our 2016 testing, no one liked the feel compared with that of 100% cotton sheets.

Cotton is a type of fiber, while flannel is a type of fabric woven with cotton yarn. Because flannel sheets are woven with a thicker yarn, they’re warmer than other cotton sheets.
