Is it worth it upgrade from 13700K to 14900K? Not just for gaming.I use heavy multitasking as well as video and photo editing. Edit I ask because I don't feel like getting a motherbosrd since this year it looks like Intel is ditching 1700 lga snd opted for entirely new one which means new motherboard with extra cost that is DDR5 (yes I'm still using ddr4 64gb)

I currently have a 13700K and I'm thinking about upgrading it considering it's the 'oldest' component in my PC. Is it worth going for a 14900K or is it just a waste of money for a small difference in performance? I only use this PC for gaming and youtube.
I've also looked at the AMD CPUs and also might consider getting the 9950X3D if it's more worth it than Intel. However, I would also need to get a new motherboard for the AMD socket and it would be significantly pricier than getting the 14900K. Any thoughts?

Is it worth going for a 14900K or is it just a waste of money for a small difference in performance? I only use this PC for gaming and youtube. In this case, it's a waste of money. If you're set on upgrading your PC somehow, look at RAM and storage.

I recently upgraded to a 4090 and hear all the time about how the cpu could be limiting performance a bit with this card. I've already got a z690 with a 13700k. I play in 3440x1440 on an alienware OLED. Just curious if it would really make any difference to get either of those for gaming. I know 7800X3d would be a bit better but not feeling as anxious to get a new board for that.
