Did you check some direct to consumer brands like YT and canyon? For just a bit more you might get a brand new bike with up to date geometry and warranty. That Kona looks nice but it also looks like it's been ridden. If you need to service it (shock, fork, bearings, etc) you might end up spending more than in a new one. Also 2018 is 7 years ago, $1800 is a lot to ask for a bike that old when there are sales everywhere. More on reddit.com

NFA. I don't think anyone would predict it right now, or in the very near future, but you just need to look at the chart to see that it's happened on multiple occasions in several different years. That tells me it's likely not an anomaly or a once off. Nobody knows what will happen with any given country's economy or currency. So, given an infinite time horizon, yes, this should occur again.
