I'm familiar with House of Foxy and I love their designs, but none are quite what I want for my graduation in May. I'll be checking there more closer to the day, though. Every other site I come across is merely "inspired by" and/or looks cheap. I'm willing to spend ~$150 and I'm not looking for long evening gowns. Thank you in advance! I should also say I'm wary of actual 1930s dresses merely because I don't want to have to be very careful with the garment.
Hi there! I have scoured the internet and checked the usuals suspects but I can’t find a good pattern as a base for this low back/v-neck 1930s inspired gown.
The original is from the 1987 movie „Death on the Nile“. I would love to recreate it. So far I had a look at:
-
McCalls
-
Reconstructing History
-
Black Snail
-
Laughing Moon
-
Angela Clayton
-
Vogue Patterns
-
Butterick
-
Burda
-
Simplicity
But for the life of me I can’t find a good base pattern which I can then adapt. Any ideas or pointers? Thank you so much for any tips!
