Ugh. The price is a tad too much for me
I don’t want to encourage them to charge more. But password security and access to important things everywhere just for you is valuable. I have credit cards on there, important documents, more than just passwords. For me and my spouse securely sharing up to the minute passwords is great feature. More on reddit.com

Hi there! I'll add on to those wonderful points by u/N0rmsky.

  1. Price Guarantee: You're exactly right, there's nothing stopping us from raising the price on accounts. However, we're not going to: we love our customers so much more than that!

  2. Family Passwords: Yep, that's exactly what 1Password Families is for! Automatically, each member of your Family gets their own Private vault, plus one Shared one is created for everyone to access. If you'd like access to your kids' vaults, you'd need to create a 'Me+Kid' vault for each kid and set the permissions on them appropriately (by default you can't see anyone else's private vaults).

  3. Usage: There is a "unified vault view"! On each 1Password app, it's as simple as switching to the All Vaults view. All the items they have access to will be right there with no fuss at all.

  4. Pricing/Sales: Yep, check out our sweet deal on gift cards, $125 for $99.

Let me know if you have any more questions at all, and I'd be more than happy to help you get set up! By the way, you can follow our wonderful guide here to migrate all your existing data and devices to your new 1Password Families account.

Family plan monthly price?
It's great to hear you want to get your kids started with good password habits! 1Password Families is $6.95/month if you choose to be billed monthly. You get 5 family members (including yourself) and 5 guests with your membership, so plenty of flexibility if and when you need to add or remove people. If you do need more that 5 members or guests, then these are billed at $1.39/month. For comparison, if you choose to be billed annually then it's $4.99/month and $1/month for additional members/guests. You can upgrade by signing in to 1Password.com, clicking Invite People in the sidebar and choosing Upgrade to a Family. When you upgrade, you'll get any remaining time on your 1Password for Individuals membership credited back to your account, and we'll bill you for your first month of 1Password Families. The credit will be used against your first bill, so you won't lose any time you've already paid for. If you currently pay for 1Password through an in-app subscription (through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store): we'll need to take some extra steps for you to switch to a 1Password Families account. If this applies to you, let me know and we can continue the discussion over email where we'll be able to get things sorted. If you're looking for a getting started guide for any of your family members, we've got one right here that covers how to sign up and how to start using each of our apps. And if you or your family have any questions at any point, we'll be here to help out! More on reddit.com
