Subject line says it all.
My mac (Ventura 13.4.1 both before and after restoration) had some hardware replaced and I subsequently had to restore a 5 day old backup from Time Machine.
I'm getting the above error consistently with the mac app, version 8.10.7, and intermittently with the Chrome browser extension version 2.10.0. (I actually can't tell if the errror popup is being generated by the browser extension or if it's just the app constantly re-checking for the database and then erroring out.)
I read in the 1P forums that the solution involves renaming your database but I'm hesitant to touch anything. I haven't received any reply (even an auto-response) from the support address.
I am able to login to 1Password.com with no issues and can see my vault contents.
(As a side question, I wonder if there is a best practice to exclude 1Password data from Time Machine backups. I'd be curious to know if this is something I should be doing.)
I woke up to a Monday morning with "Database error" in 1password on Chrome. My app in win10 will not upgrade. can't get into my work accounts. There is no phone number to call and didn't get a ticket number when I posted the issue in support.
Anybody know a way to contact support? This is obviously a big issue. I followed the delete and re-install of course and tried the updates
How can I fix this? Seems to be happening at least once a day for me.
Browser extension is 2.10.0.
I'm sorry for the trouble. 1Password for Safari uses a database folder on your computer to store and access your encrypted 1Password data when using Safari.
If Safari is set up to remove your item history or block all cookies, the local copy of your information will be removed from the database and you won’t be able to use 1Password in Safari.
More information and steps on how to fix this can be found on the following support link: https://support.1password.com/safari-database-terminated/
Has a Safari update changed a default? I have just started to have this happen after years of using 1Password and have not changed any settings in safari...
