Desktop and Browser connection not working
I'm sorry for the trouble. Could you try disabling & re-enabling the desktop integration: Right click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar > Settings > Integrate with 1Password app. Next completely quit your browser and 1Password app, then relaunch your app and browser. If that doesn't help, send an email to [email protected] and we'll have a member of the team reach out to troubleshoot in more depth. More on reddit.com

I'm runniing 1Password 8.10.44 on macOS 14.6.1 with Firefox 130.0, and I have the 1Password firefox extension installed, version 8.10.44.34. I'm having some difficulty with the integration between the browser extension and the application.
Initially, I was trying to enable TouchID to unlock the browser extension; it already works for the desktop application. Based on a suggestion I saw here from about a year ago, I disabled integration between the extension and the app in the browser extension settings, quit both the desktop app and the browser, restarted both, and attempted to re-enable integration in the extension's settings. When I re-enabled that option, however, I got a message stating "Problems connecting. Please make sure the 1Password app is unlocked." The app is definitely unlocked.
Any suggestions on how I can get this working again?

Yes I'm seeing this as well, it's getting very annoying! The browser extension keeps prompting to me enter my password constantly. Something deffo has broken!

I am experiencing the same issue with Google Chrome version 128.0.6613.120, already tried restarting and re-enabling everything, the problem has persisted for a few days now.

3 weeks ago - I temporarily switched the install drive to C, uninstalled and reinstalled 1Password, switched the setting back to D, and now it seems to be working. I've had this setting in place for a number of years now; and I can't be the only one with a setup like this (non default install drive). I feel like the extension shouldn't rely on a hardcoded location to determine the connectivity; at the very least having a setting to point to the right location would be workable.

On my (Mac) laptop, I have it set up so if I log on to my desktop app, it'll also log me on to the individual browser apps.
On my (also Mac) desktop, however, they aren't connected, so I have to log into each browser profile separately from each other and from the desktop app.
I've checked the settings in both the browser and desktop app and they are both turned on to see each other, and I've tried turning them off and back on, but all to no avail.
Is there a trick to getting them integrated?
