Factsheet
Hi all,
I have been playing with both 1Password Personal and 1Password Business trails and I was wondering, does anyone find paying 7.99$/month, for 1Password Business with only 1 member, worth it?
I'm asking this since 1Password Business includes a complimentary 1Passsword Family account (costing 4.99$/month). Assuming paying 3$/month more is fine with me and I might use the 1Password Business account with only 1 member for my work, does anyone find the additional features, present in the 1Password Business account, worth to be used even with only 1 member?
Not sure if the questions make sense but any comment or shared experience is more than welcomed! Thanks.
I should first mention that no matter what you pick, if you feel like you've chosen the wrong option, you can always change your account type in the future. 1Password accounts tend to be pretty flexible, and so there's not a ton of pressure on picking the right thing right away.
With that said, if you're the only person using 1Password, this will really come down to what you want out of it. As u/djasonpenney mentions, 1Password Business comes with a lot of additional features that are aimed primarily at administration. If you don't plan on using those features, then 1Password Teams may be a better option for you at work, since it's aimed at smaller work environments. So this will really come down to what sort of work you do and how you feel you'll be using 1Password in the future.
I don't usually recommend using 1Password Families for work, mostly because it's not really aimed at being used in a work environment. And if you're going to be the only one using the account at all, as you seem to be indicating here, then a personal 1Password account for individuals with multiple vaults, with some specifically for work, might also do the trick.
Feel free to write in and ask about it.
I opted for that. 1-person Business account, but have shared with (so far) 3 family members. One I share a single vault with , the other two are private to themselves.
I just thought this made more sense..and I don't really take advantage of the VIP support (but I could...although between reddit and the 1P forum it's been pretty good!!). Price wasn't an issue at the extra few dollars, and it's a business expense.
I'm leaving my company and will obv. loose access to my corporate sponsored 1Password account. I've already moved all my personal stuff over to a Personal vault on the corporate account.
What's the best way to proceed? Am I basically going to sign up for a personal account and then somehow move / copy / export my personal vault over from the work account?
