I'm curious what your experience was. Did you build it yourself or hire someone to build it? What were your costs on top of what Menard's charges for their "kit"? Opinions on whether this is cost effective or not? I assume hiring someone to build it would double the costs or more.
Thanks. I recently acquired a lot and wanted an oversized detached garage and priced one of these out that fits my zoning and wanted some opinions from someone who had already done this. I don't know enough to do this "from scratch".

May 12, 2014 - I am not handy, and don't have a ton of time, so was looking to hire the job out. I called a garage place in my area and they quoted $15k for a 24x24 2-car with everything included, including concrete and permits. That might be reaps able, but I don't have that kind of cash.
