How Do You Count in German from 21 to 100?
May 7, 2025 - For the German numbers above 20, think of the English nursery rhyme "Sing a Song of Sixpence" and the line "four and twenty blackbirds" ("baked in a pie"). In German, you say one-and-twenty (einundzwanzig) rather than twenty-one.

September 12, 2024 - So for example, the numeral 25 is written out in English as twenty-five, which feels very natural to English speakers. German numerals from 20 to 99 are written and spoken with the ones place coming first, followed by und (and), then the tens place. ...

Gaijin has nerfed German 20 mm. I checked the panzer II, sd.kfz. 140/1, and wirbelwind and it's all the same.

This is not a nerf. As a German main, historically the 20mm autocannon APCR could only pen around 40mm of armor. Previously the autocannon was over preforming compared to what the cannon could actually do in real life. It is now fixed. Wibel is fine citation needed at 3.7. I haven't played too much with the new Panzer 2 c, and sd.kfz. 240/1 but they feel substantially worse than they were previously and are no longer sealclubbers anymore. Hopefully gajin's sTaTIStiCs kick in and lower their BR.

Spiegel made a list of 20 bad German jokes, mostly puns. See how many you can understand!
"Haben Sie was getrunken?" "Ja, zwei Radler." Warum bleibt London der Schnee nicht liegen? Weil die da einen Tower haben!" "Sind Sie Peter Fonda?" "Nö, ich bin von hier." Treffen sich zwei Deutschlehrer am Strand. Sagt der eine: "Genitiv ins Wassr!" Darauf der andere: "Ist es Dativ?" Was ist das Gegenteil von Frühlingserwachen? -Spät rechts einschlafen. Wie heißt der vegetarische Bruder von Bruce Lee? Brocco Lee. The first few. Some explanations on the puns would be great, if anyone here actually speaks German :D More on reddit.com

German Numbers: How to Count From 1 to 100 - Busuu
You might have heard older English phrases using an inverted formula for this, such as ‘four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie’. This older way of saying numbers gives a nod to English’s German roots. German builds its compound numbers with this formula: ones + und (and) + tens. Let’s look at an example: 25 =fünf und zwanzig = fünf (5) +und (and) +zwanzig (20)

How To Count To 100 In German
August 26, 2022 - German numbers are pretty straightforward, but they differ from English in one way. Instead of the tens coming before the ones (ninety-seven), the ones come before the tens (siebenundneunzig, or literally “seven-and-ninety”). The word und in the middle is German for “and,” which comes up a lot in numbers.
