Hey there! So, I have a week off, and I want to binge-watch as many movies as possible. I’d really appreciate some recommendations for films similar to The Princess Diaries, The Devil Wears Prada, Mean Girls, and Legally Blonde. Basically, I’m looking for 2000s English rom-coms or feel-good movies that have the same vibe. Bonus points if they’re available on Disney+ Hotstar, but I’m open to other options too (including ahem less official sources). Let me know your suggestions!
Recently there was a post asking everyone about their favourite 90s romance movies. There were so many great responses and comments.
I thought I’d do a post for 2000s romance movies. What’s everyone’s fave romance/rom com movies from this decade?
Two of my favourites are Bridget Jones’s Diary (I also like the sequels) and 13 Going on 30. But there are so many good ones!
Exactly as the title suggests! Looking for the best rom coms of the 2000s. They're a bit hard to sort through especially with so many having bad ratings just for being rom coms lol. Hit me with your favourites!
Im not the only one who feels this way, but the early 2000’s and maybe some of the 10’s had the best set of romantic comedies that i feel cant be replicated today.
They felt cheesy but not to the point where it ruined everything. They were cringe but not necessarily in a bad way. The only one that comes close for me lately is “anyone but you” and even then it was not the same.
Any movies you recommend that fit the vibe of the movies im talking about? Feel free to prove me wrong. Examples: -the wedding planner -what women want -sweet home alabama -how to lose a guy in 10 days -love actually -13 going on 30 And most importantly… -the holiday
Hey fellow Redditors! 👋 I'm in the mood for some classic romance and I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm on the hunt for some amazing romantic movies from the golden period of 2000-2010. You know, that time when rom-coms and heartfelt love stories were at their peak!
I've already watched a few classics like "The Notebook," "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," and "500 Days of Summer," but I'm hungry for more. Can you folks suggest some hidden gems or personal favorites that I might have missed?
Here are a few things I'm looking for:
I'm a sucker for those movies that tug at the heartstrings and leave you with that warm, fuzzy feeling.
The magic of a romantic movie often lies in the chemistry between the main characters. Any films where the leads just click?
Music can elevate a romantic movie to a whole new level. If the soundtrack is as memorable as the story, count me in!
I'm open to romantic movies from different cultures and perspectives. If there's a gem that's not in English, I'm all ears.
Twist endings, unconventional resolutions, or anything that adds a unique flavor to the typical romantic plot would be a bonus.
Feel free to share your personal experiences with these movies, and let me know why you think they're worth watching. I'm excited to dive into your recommendations and have my own mini movie marathon! Thanks in advance, and happy watching! 🎥💖
