Hello,
I apologize if this is the wrong subreddit.. Please point me in the right direction if so..
Also.. please forgive my ignorance.. I don't know much, just looking for a bit of help. :)
I'm looking to purchase a refurbished iMac, but I don't where to start. I'd primarily be using it for school, Word and Excel, and printing. I'm looking to stay with Apple products because we own iPhones, iPads, and AirPods..
I'd like to avoid spending too much money. I'm looking for a refurbished model that's fairly priced and gets the job done!
TIA!

Buying Refurbished Intel iMac for Grandparent
I would buy a M2 Mini along with whatever screen you want. I wouldn't buy an Intel Mac at this point.

Looking to upgrade my grandfather's Mac mini. I had been considering a 2021 iMac.. but Im wondering if a 2020 iMac retina 27" would actually be better option? I think he would like the bigger screen and having more ports.. only concern I have is buying an i5 Intel CPU, but I dont think that would matter too much for his uses (mostly safari, pages, numbers, and email).

Based on the comments, I’m thinking maybe M2 Mac Mini, with 16 gb ram and a new screen might be the route to go (and would still be cheaper than iMac). That might be the way…
