So I really want an iPad since I broke my tablet a few years ago and I really miss having a tablet. So I did some research, and figured the best iPad for me would be the M1 iPad Pro, if it wasn't for the M Series chip I would've went even lower, but I would like to have the apple intelligence features. So, for gaming, school and some AI here and there, is this the right choice?
(note: should I get refurbished or used?)

After 1.6 I experience random major frame drops on my M1 iPad, don't you have that sometimes too? In domains it happens more often
It helps to set the render resolution lower, but it's kinda sad having such top of the end device and playing on low res

Yes it is. It’s a M chip device so it’s still very useable even today. To be honest there hasn’t really been anything yet that has even come close to hindering any M1 chip devices yet so the likelihood of Apple (if they are smart enough to know to not cut off a device that clearly has no issues using any features) stopping update support anytime soon is very slim. The M1 chip is that good that since its release every other M chip (so M2 to M4 currently) don’t feel that much of a upgrade for people so they end up staying on their M1 devices. Like I mentioned we are now on M4 chip devices which is 3 whole generation newer than the M1 so for the M1 to still perform this well shows how good M chips are.
