40ish year old home with supposedly custom kitchen cabinetry. Had one of the drawer slides break and can't seem to find a replacement part.
Drawer depth: 18 inches
Cabinet depth: 22.9 (literally just a hair under 23)
Slides
Interior:18 inches. Exterior: 22.7 inches
Info on metal: Grant 236
These are side and rear mounted because the cabinet is deeper than the drawers by almost 5 inches.
What are my options here? Just nail 2x4 back there and then use a 22 inch slide? The problem there is it is a kitchen island and any screws for that 2x4 would probably penetrate the back of the wall and go into the other side which is also a cabinet.
Crappy MSpaint drawing
Iimages of the drawer that hopefully help.
Edit: ended up putting a strip of a 1x4 onto the back wall of the cabinet(didn't drill through the backside thankfully), and used the included hardware. It's been a year and it's the nicest drawer in my kitchen. I really need to get around to replacing all of the slides.
Can't find 23 inch soft close drawer slides. What are my options?
Are 23 inch bottom mount drawer slides a thing of the past?
