September 26, 2024I want to get a 3 to 4 inch queen foam mattress topper and cut it to fit in the bed of my truck. Any suggestions on brand or specific topper?
A lot of people have gone the cheap route and gotten something off of Amazon(personally got the linenspa brand one from Amazon). The only thing I would suggest is make sure you have a floor liner to take care of moisture if it’s going to be enclosed in a topper or in a rooftop tent More on reddit.com

Density really does matter in a mattress topper. I have many, many different toppers of different densities and my favorite, by far, is the 4lb topper from Foam Factory. They can send you sample cubes ofwhatever you like and at least you can feel the difference in “squishiness” between them. The 4lb has some heft to it and feels much more supportive than the 2.5lb and something like Serene foam. I also had a Viscosoft topper, and that, at 3.5lb density was way, way too firm for me, but I weigh 132 and am a side sleeper. It was an excellent quality topper, and I can see it working for a lot of people. More on reddit.com

Thick enough it's practically a mattress all by itself! In fact, it was used that way for guests. Only been used a few times and otherwise has been kept rolled in plastic cover. Comes with cover and straps. You'll need a vehicle big enough to squish this baby into it. Even though the plastic is meant to be vacuumed down, my home vacuum isn't strong enough to actually accomplish much.
