New here. I have a question regarding the vizio D series 40 32"
Vizio Smart cast 40" tv
Vizio D40f-g9 Smart TV and 5Ghz Wifi
Videos
i was looking up online and i didnt know until after i got it that this is an old model, the new model being the v series
is this still a good tv? and what should i be aware of with it being an older tv model?
Please don't dis me for doing this but I'm using my Vizio D-Series 32" TV also as a monitor. Model D32h-J09. The laptops I'm using are an ACER and moving to a Dell. Both have decent graphic cards and of course can both be connected via hdmi. Not both at the same time but moving one to another. The problems I've noticed is that when the ACER and Dell are connected to the TV they cannot get to the same resolution. The ACER is set at 1366X768, not sure what the Dell is set at but either way I can't get them set so I can get the image on either one to fit the screen properly. This is just annoying but not the main issue.
When connected to the ACER, the ACER works fine for a while then will randomly crash. This is more than annoying, could it be that the ACER graphics driver needs to be updated with a Vizio driver or is the TV too much for the laptop?
Also using the dell I didn't have the problem with it crashing but the image from the laptop to the TV just wouldn't fit no matter what resolution I tried. Is there a specific driver to fix this or is there a workaround?
BTW the Dell crashed earlier in late January when we have a power glitch. Burned out the TPM chip and I just got it back from Dell. Fortunately it was under warranty.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
I just unboxed a new Vizio Smart cast tv. It shows my network on the screen ,but will not connect to it. I have other Roku TV's, tablets cellphones that connect to it without any problem.
The Vizio will show my hotspot on my phone and connect to it wireless no problem. The wifi router and my phone use the same provider which is at&t.
Anyone have some kind of answer for me?
Title says it all - i have the Vizio d40f-g9 smart TV and it simply will not see my 5Ghz network. Despite 2 other 50 inch Vizio TVs in the same house seeing it and working perfectly.
I have DD-WRT running on my router and the 5GHZ network is the main workhorse (see image). The manual of the TV says it can handle N wireless networks.
Does this TV support 5GHZ Wifi, and if not, what Vizio TVs between 40 anjd 50 inches 100% do?
