Hi ,
I am looking to build my dream desk, but I have size constraint of 42inch wide, Do you have any recommendation. UI would love to buy a electrical standing desk, I think the Bekant underframe is under 42 inch , are there any other frames that I can consider?
I have dual monitors and a cintiq.
I'm buying a new desk and strongly considering a 42" OLED TV as a monitor. Obviously with a screen that large you need a deep desk. I was initially looking at the 31" deep normal office desks that Ikea carry but concerns that they would be too shallow for the screen led me to look at the 42" deep countertops instead.
So I was thinking of an Eckbacken 74x42 countertop with 4 or 5 Olov legs.
Just wanted to see what you guys thought of the plan.
Has anyone got a 42" monitor/TV desk setup and what depth desk would you recommend?
Hey everyone,
Wanting to pull the trigger in the c2 42" however I have a pretty shallow desk. I use the Karlby which depth is only 25 1/2 inches. I know that's wayyyy to close.
What solutions do I have other then buying a new desk? How far away should I get away from a 42" screen?
I recently upgraded to an RTX 4090, but was running on an LG 32GN63T-B monitor. I couldn't pull the trigger on any 4k monitor currently on the market. Everything seems over priced and underperforming for any decent monitor on the market. I know my desk is undersized for this bad boy, but I just couldn't help myself. Honestly it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Do I with a had a little more room? Yes! But I absolutely love what the RTX 4090 and LG C2 have to offer. And yes those are plain boards propping my monitor up lol
160x80cm.. for 70bucks.. best Budget desk ever
Hey,
I have the same screen and i made my own TV stand using parts from IKEA, not sure if they are in the stock in your country:
TRANHULT shelf 80x20cm (available in white)
CAPITA leg, stainless stell 4pack 8cm (screws are included)
The legs ar adjustable so you can have the back legs little bit higher to make the TV straight vertically.
Here is a picture how it looks like

Has anyone tried these dimensions for a desk setup?

I have a triple monitor setup and feel that my current IKEA desk with 25 5/8" to 31 1/2" depth (L-shaped) is not deep enough for me to be comfortable looking at all three monitors without turning my head as much to the sides.
I couldn't find a standard desk underframe from IKEA that would fit properly under this slab, so I am thinking about using either two of these on either side https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/alex-drawer-unit-gray-00261295/ or five of these legs with one in the middle https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/p/olov-leg-adjustable-black-30264301/.
EDIT: Dimensions should read 74x42x1 1/2 " in the title instead.
