I am mounting a TV above my fireplace and the seating in the room is about 10 feet from where the TV will be. I had up there before a 1080p set in 55 inches that died and I want to replace it with a 4K TV. I see that the new consensus is at least 65 inches these days for that distance. BUT, due to wall fixtures etc, a 65 inch TV will make the room look tiny - it would take up the entire wall space above the fireplace - up to the ceiling. So, is anyone living with a 55 inch 4K TV at this distance and enjoying it? Is it true you can’t tell 4K apart from 1080p at that distance? appreciate any guidance here.
