So.. I just broke my fnatic ministreak and I wanted to change it, but I don't really know anything about good keyboards.
I was wondering if any of you could help me get a good keyboard for around 80€, that is 80% and can last for years.
Hi All, 2nd post. Kind of resigned to the fact that if I want that custom layout I'm going to have to make it myself. Been looking around at DIY mechanical kits and finding it hard to find ones that are 80% keyboard PCB and are still in stock. I'm a programmer so I kinda need those function keys so I really can't settle for a Satan 60% unfortunately. I've come across the XD87 PCB however I don't know if it will support single colour or RGB key lighting, would also prefer if it was type-c connection. Can anyone help me out in my search??
I've recently gotten into Mechanical Keyboards and I am looking for a DIY kit to help orient me with keyboard building. I am looking for a hotswappable 75-80% keyboard kit.
It only needs a Case, Plate, and Hotswappable PCB (it needs to be hotswappable since I'm not interested in a soldering board). I would like to have full control over the switches and keycaps.
So far these three are the ones I have been considering:
KPrepublic XD87. This is honestly my top choice. However, my main gripe is the many complaints I have heard about KPrepublic's shipping practices.
Keypro SK87 (Aliexpress) and Everglide SK87. These two are my alternative options. My only problem is that I haven't seen any reviews for them and I cannot find the exact website of their producers.
Any feedback on my current selection and suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanls!
