April 14, 2025 - Because I prefer high-rise jeans, I have not tried any of the low-rise or mid-rise styles (you may prefer the lower rises if you are petite and/or have a short torso). I also wear Abercrombie’s Curve Love styles, which are constructed specifically for women that have a larger waist-to-hip ratio. I get the dreaded waist gap in the back with almost all regular, non-curvy high-rise styles. You may not need a curvy fit if you opt for a lower rise. Below, I reviewed the five Abercrombie jean styles in six washes that I recently ordered during a sale:

February 10, 2024 - I’m short and wide through the hips so I look thick in a pair of wide-leg jeans. However, if there was ever a pair that I like to wear, it’s this pair from Abercrombie. They have an ultra-high rise and in short, they’re long enough for heels or heeled boots, which helps lengthen the legs.

November 4, 2025 - Very few brands make plus-size jeans that also come in long lengths, so I was super impressed with how well Abercrombie's jeans fit my 5'11", size 22 frame — they're even a bit long on me. I'd recommend sizing up (I went with size 37), especially if you have larger thighs like I do. The 'Curve Love' line has extra room in the hips, but I've still found them still a bit snug in the thighs. March 24, 2025 - Compared to the jeans of Abercrombie Past, the brand’s current denim selection is vastly more inclusive. Sizes span from 24 to 38, inseams stretch from extra short to extra long, and the Curve Love fit adds two inches to the hip and thigh to decrease waist gaps.

November 15, 2024 - If you want a pair of jeans that are comfortable, flattering, and under $100, you need to see this style from Abercrombie. I felt like I never looked better and also had the opportunity to wear jeans that will go well with every occasion on my calendar.

November 7, 2024 - In extra short, the 24″ inseam is a cropped length and in short, the 26.5″ inseam is full-length like it’s shown on the model. These jeans are a loose relaxed style, I recommend a size down for the best fit, unless you want a relaxed fit.

March 1, 2025 - ICYMI, barrel jeans are the uncontested cool-girl way to wear denim, earning the stamp of approval from celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Elsa Hosk, and Katie Holmes. Since receiving this Abercrombie pair, I’ve already worn them five times. After reading the reviews, I went up one size for a more relaxed, low-slung fit and opted for the long length (I’m just under 5-feet 7-inches) so they wouldn’t be too cropped to wear with heels.

October 22, 2024 - These jeans come with two different style waistbands styles: the regular and the criss-cross. I personally love both. Classic styles are well, classic, but a fun twist is also something I love trying. And let’s be honest, the v shape the criss-cross waistband creates is oh so flattering.

August 8, 2025 - The top half of the jeans is less fitted than Abercrombie, which I don’t like as much. I wear the Petite size in Madewell, and they are still a little too long on me. I love that the Abercrombie jeans hit right at the ankle in the short length. I have a full blog post reviewing Madewell jeans as well.

February 14, 2024 - My husband comments on how comfortable these jeans are at least three times a week. He knows that I am already aware; he just loves them so much he can’t help but tell me almost every time he wears them. He comments on the material but also on their construction—he often tells me he loves the shape and that they are spacious without being unflattering. June 24, 2025 - I usually wear a 30 or 31 in jeans (10 or 12), and I got these in a 31, which fit great. I love the black wash (I think it looks so chic), and I can’t wait to try a lighter wash for spring and summer. I would also be interested to try the short length, because without a bootie on they are a little bit long. Also, this is the perfect time for me to take a moment to praise Abercrombie for their new inclusive sizing—I am so excited about this!

September 23, 2024 - The pair from Abercrombie fit nicely along my waist, but they were a bit too baggy in the legs. I loved the jeans I tried on at Madewell and ended up buying a pair.

January 10, 2025 - As I previously explained, I found that the Curve Love jeans weren’t the best fit for me, and these are the only Curve Loves I’ll be reviewing. The Curve Love Ultra High Rise 90’s Straight Jean is very fitted in the waist and adds 2 inches around the butt and thigh area. For me, this style runs too fitted in the waist and causes some wedgies. As you can see from the photos, I find this fit accentuates my lower belly rather than flatting it out. So overall, not my favorite style from Abercrombie.

February 19, 2022 - Although Abercrombie sells a range of fashion (sweaters, dresses, swim, shoes — & yes, even still The Cologne) it’s their jean styles that really make the home runs. But... it's the '90s Ultra High-Rise Straight Jean that stole my heart.
