Here’s what you can expect from Academy Sports' Black Friday 2024 sale based on the last few year’s that we’ve been tracking them:

Black Friday 2024 Sale Dates:

• Expected Start Date: The sale is predicted to begin on Sunday, November 24, 2024. That’s the Sunday before Thanksgiving weekend.

• Expected End Date: Saturday, November 30, 2024, or while in-stock supplies last.

• Cyber Monday: Academy Sports is expected to follow up immediately afterwards with a 2-day online-only Cyber Monday sale starting on Sunday, December 1, 2024 and ending on Monday December 2, 2024.

• The official Black Friday ad is expected to be released on or around Thursday, November 14, 2024, approximately two weeks before Thanksgiving, so you’ll have plenty of time to plan what to buy and when.

What's Going To Be On Sale This Year?

• Anticipate 30% to 50% off across various categories such as:

  • Athletic Gear: Academy Sports is known for offering 30% to 50% off on popular athletic brands such as Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, and Reebok.

    • In previous years, deals included 50% off Nike running shoes and 40% off Adidas soccer cleats.

    • Other discounts may apply to athletic accessories, like gym bags, water bottles, and sportswear for activities like running, basketball, and football.

    • You can expect to find 30% off workout gear like dumbbells, resistance bands, and yoga mats, perfect for your home gym setup.

  • Apparel: Expect discounts across men's, women's, and children's clothing, with some items up to 50% off.

    • Look out for hoodies and joggers from Under Armour and Nike Dri-FIT shirts; outdoor clothing such as Columbia jackets, fleece, and insulated (just in time for winter); and Wrangler jeans and flannels on sale at up to 50%.

    • Example: Last year you could find camping bundles like a tent, chair, and cooler set on sale for 30% off, or up to 50% off kayaks and other water sports gear.

  • Fitness Equipment: For those looking to get fit or expand their home gym, Academy Sports typically offers up to 50% off on a wide selection of fitness equipment.

    • Treadmills, ellipticals, and exercise bikes from brands like Peloton, ProForm and NordicTrack could be marked down by as much as 30% to 40%.

    • Home gym systems, such as dumbbell sets, kettlebells, and weight benches, are often included in the sale.

    • You could see deals like 40% off adjustable dumbbells or 50% off resistance bands and fitness trackers.

Things to Keep in Mind

• Limited item selection: This will not be a storewide Black Friday sale, and discounts are expected to be available only on specific pre-determined products. Exclusions will apply.

• Exclusive in-store offers are often available, so you may actually have to visit a physical Academy Sports store in your neighborhood to take advantage of some of this year’s featured doorbusters.

Thanksgiving & Black Friday 2024 Store Hours:

• Thanksgiving Day: Academy Sports stores are usually closed for the entire day.

• Black Friday: Stores are likely to open early at 5:00 AM and stay open until 11:00 PM.
