Feature/accent tile for bathroom wall, good or bad idea?
Shower accent tile recommendations
Thinking a green accent wall to give the bathroom some identity. Thoughts? (right pic photoshopped concept)
Help me figure out what to do with Accent walls in guest bathroom
Just here to say that cats are so funny. She’s like “Oh you’re going in the bathroom? I actually, coincidentally, wanted to go in there too.”

I am tossing up whether I should include a feature tile on one of our bathroom walls. I get it, people have personal preferences when it comes to aesthetics, but aesthetics aside (because I think both options can look great), I am weighing the pros and cons of a feature tile wall vs all the walls being the same colour tile. Here are some thoughts in my head:
-
A feature wall can help change things up, add some colour, contrast etc.
-
Choosing a colourful or more out there design might become dated over time, or I might not like the end result rather than sticking to a consistent more neutral colour.
-
Could feature walls go out of fashion the same way feature painted interior walls also went a bit out of fashion.
-
Feature tiles are often more expensive than regular bathroom tiles.
-
Do feature walls give off a more premium look to a bathroom for resale value…
What are your thoughts?
We’re trying to figure out where to place the accent tile (the wood tile in the 2nd photo) in the shower. Right now considering one big vertical strip covering the niche, or just covering the niche and then two vertical strips going up were the two shower heads will be (left and right side). Any recommendations for what will look best?
